Mikel obi has joined legendary Nigerian winger Finidi George and Nwankwo Kanu as Nigeria’s only players to have won the UEFA champions league since its inception in 1955. The championship was then known as the European cup. Finidi and Kanu played major roles for ajax as the dutch giants cruised to victory in the 1995 final with striker Patric Kluivert coming off the bench to score a late winner to beat AC.Milan.
