Man U Beaten in Tonight's Encounter













Manchester United have been beaten in their first premiership opener. Man U players were devastated by Fellaini's goal in 57th minute of the game. All efforts by the red devils for a comeback proved abortive by the coordinated defensive style of the Everton team. However Nani and P. Scholes bagged yellow cards at the 3rd and 13th minute respectively

Mikel Joins Compatriots as European Champion

Mikel obi has joined legendary Nigerian winger Finidi George and Nwankwo Kanu as Nigeria’s only players to have won the UEFA champions league since its inception in 1955. The championship was then known as the European cup. Finidi and Kanu played major roles for ajax as the dutch giants cruised to victory in the 1995 final with striker Patric Kluivert coming off the bench to score a late winner to beat AC.Milan. Are we not proudly to be Nigerians? I am........or please comment.....

Following his constant verbal attacks on Fecafoot, Cameroon Football Federation, Roger Milla was released of his post as the honorary president of the body

The communiqué was released after its general assembly held at Mont Febe Hotel in Yaounde on May 16

“Pursuant to Article 45 of the statute of the Fecafoot, Mr Albert Roger Miller has been removed from his duties as honorary president of Fecafoot for abusive language against the body, its president and its officers and to have publicly called for popular protests and insurrection against the federation,” the statement read.

Yobo Joins His Team Mates as Turkish Champion















Joseph Yobo, Nigeria skipper won the Turkish cup yesterday as Fenerbahce walloped their opponent Bursaspor 4-0. It was the first time in 29yrs a big club from Istanbul would win such a title.

Steven Gerrard Named New England Captain















Steven Gerrard, a Liverpool player, has been named the new captain of the English National football team. Gerrard, a powerful midfielder is expected to player a significant role for the England national team during the fourth coming Euro 2012.
The decision was taken by the current England coach Roy Hodgson. He was quoted as saying “I’m counting on him to help me and build the team unity and environment”. Roy was appointed recently as the head coach to replace Capello.

Manchester City are New Champions of Premiership League Title

















Manchester City celebrate as new champions of Barclays premiership league. In what looked like a highly dramatic game, Manchester city coming from 2-1 down to equalize and eventually got the winning goal by Aguero. The city's last 2 goals were scored in the added time of the full time. "Five minutes from the end I did not think we could win this game. We deserved to win this championship," City manager Roberto Mancini told Sky Sports.
Other teams to join Manchester City in the European league group phase are Manchester United and Arsenal. Tottenham Spur will have to wait for the outcome of European league finals between Chelsea and Bayern Munich
